The Department is committed to protect and guard the interest of the Consumers in Goa and make available to them the means to assert their Consumer Rights and redress their grievances through North District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission and South District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission and State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission& Consumer Conciliation Committee.
Consumer can lodge a complaint under Consumer Protection Act 2019 through the following Consumer Courts. These complaints should be lodged within 2 years from the date of incident.
Complaints where the value of the goods or service paid as consideration exceeds Rupees
50 lakhs but does not exceed Rupees 2 Crore, than Consumers can file a complaint at State Commission
Filing of a Complaint
Section 35 (1) of the Act enables electronic filing of Consumer Complaints in the Consumer Commission under Consumer Protection Act 2019. Confonet project is moved from confonet to E-jagriti portal w.e.f. January 2025. Consumer can access daily case related work like cause list, case-filing, online payment, case scrutiny, case approval, case courtroom hearing, daily order/ judgment view, case history, etc….. by using the e-jagriti portal as url mentioned bellow:

Fee Structure to file a compliant State Commission

| Above rupees fifty lakh and upto rupees one crore | Rs. 2000 |
| Above rupees one crore and upto rupees two crore | Rs. 2500 |
Appeals:-
- Any person aggrieved by an Order made by District Commission may file an appeal against such Order to State Commission within a period of 45 days from the date of Order (Section 41 of CPA 2019)
- Revision Petition shall be filed within 90 days from the date of receipt of order. (Section 14. Of Consumer Protection [Consumer Commission procedure] Regulations, 2020)
- Review on Order of State Commission: Review Application shall be filed within 30 days from the date of order.
